1:00 p.m. Six "flying manhole covers" circled plane of stunt pilot.
Size,
according to Frank Edwards, was 3-4' diameter, approached to withing
10'. Bert Acosta, a noted stunt flier, had a sighting of
several circular objects that surrounded his plane, then sped away.
This occurred while he was en route from Wichita, Kansas, to Colorado
