Dec. 28, 1949, from Fayetteville, NC, to Greenwood, SC (BBU)
At 4:30to  p.m. a blimp-shaped object flying erratically was observed by several people on the ground and by four pilots who rose in light planes at Hamlet, NC, and at Greenwood, SC. They were unable to catch up with the object.
