RADCAT is a revitalized special project now being conducted jointly by NICAP & Project 1947 with the help and cooperation of the original compiler of RADCAT, Martin Shough, to create a comprehensive listing of radar cases with detailed documentation from all previous catalogues, including UFOCAT and original RADCAT.

At 7:37 p.m. local time Site 6, 621st AC&W Squadron at Nigata Air Base, Japan, established radar contact with an unidentified object at 37 degrees 37' N - 137 degrees 15' E. The heading of the object was 260 degrees. This object was detected by CPS-5 modified by an AN/GPA-7. There were no friendly aircraft in the area at the time of the initial sighting. (Dan Wilson)
