7:12 a.m. Eight separate unidentified radar sightings were made by a
GCA team while working a C-47 aircraft on practice runs at Keflavik,
Iceland. The first of the eight objects appeared at 0712Z (7:12 a.m.
local time). The last object was observed at 8:09 a.m. The estimated
airspeed of the objects was 250 knots and at estimated altitude of
above 8000 feet. One report stated that one object crossed the scope at
a speed much faster than an F-86. |
