Wilson: August 5-6, 1952; Washington, D.C. area During the night two to ten unidentified objects flying at speeds from 30 to 40 miles an hour were seen on radarscopes at Civil Aeronautics Administration headquarters at Washington National Airport. The blips were also reported on radar at nearby Andrews AFB, where an aircraft was sent up to 15,000 feet to investigate but returned because of the overcast. (Dan Wilson) |
