This report is case #7, on the official clearance list. of 41 formerly classified Air Technical Intelligence UFO reports cleared for Maj. Donald E. Keyhoe by Albert M. Chop, Air Force Press Desk. Dec. 15, 1952; Goose Bay, Labrador (BBU) 7:15 PM. Two Air Force crews got a momentary radar lock on a strange object. One pilot had seen similar object before, on November 26, 1952. Visual contact was made by two aircraft, a T-33 and an F-94, of an unidentified aerial object after being vectored to the target by Ground Control Appoach (GCA). We had been seeking further details on this case and Dan Wilson located files in the Project Blue Book Archive (See below). BB evaluated this case as Venus/radar malfunction. Thayer (Condon) said mirage of Venus/radar malfunction. NARCAP ruled these explanations out.
