Sparks: Dec. 15, 1952; Greensboro [Hurstville?], North Carolina (BBU) 9:15 a.m. USAF pilot of RF-80 saw a bright circular or spherical silvery object, losing and gaining altitude. (Project 1947) Dan Wilson: Dec. 15, 1952; Hartsville, South Carolina (BBU) At 9:15 a.m. Major Ruffin W. Gray, flying straight and level at 15,000 feet in an RF-80 aircraft observed a circular object reflecting a silver color from it and its oscillating movements. The object was rising and falling too fast to be another aircraft according to Major Gray. At 9:25 a.m., another two ship element flying at 25,000 feet over Greensboro, North Carolina spotted a bright silver object that appeared to be spherical in shape with two projections on top. The object was first seen at the at approximately 35,000 feet at the 11 o'clock position and it made an arc around to the 6 o'clock position. This object was observed for approximately 45 seconds.
