(McDonald list) Dan Wilson: April 19, 1953; Calumet, Lake Superior area Between 8:18 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. EST, a series of targets were sighted by the 665th AC&W Squadron at Calumet, Michigan The plots originated at approximately 50 miles from their station from 50 degrees clockwise to 251 degrees. The speed of the target was from 1800 mph to 8400 mph. The sighting was radar only, an AN/FPS-3 Search Radar. Several individual targets were noted and appeared as normal targets except for the speed. (Dan Wilson) |
