Sparks: Sept. 28, 1953; Palmdale, Calif.. (BBU) (McDonald list) Dan Wilson: At 7:10 p.m., PST, an unidentified object appeared on an F-94C radar scope for a period of 15 seconds. The object was traveling on a 60 degree course at an estimated speed of 2000 knots. Distance of object was 4 miles when first observed. The object compared with a C-47 in size on the radar scope. The F-94 was on a heading of 230 degrees at 300 knots at 21,000 feet. The same or another object was observed visually from another F-94C for six seconds at 7:00 p.m. The object was described as being round, orange in color and traveling on the same course as the as the first object. |
