9:45 p.m. PST. Nine "S" shaped objects giving a sharp return the size of B-52 on a CPN-18 radar scope. The targets came by singly, except for two, one closely following the other. All the targets were observed between 285 degrees and 290 degrees on a heading of 105 degrees across the radar scope to the center of the scope where they were lost in the ground clutter. The objects were traveling at approximately 6,000 mph for 24 seconds on a straight course. The targets were observed on three CPN-18 radar scopes.
