11:04 p.m. USAF crew of RB-50, 6091st Recon Sq, saw a brilliant red object with bluish-green tail in level trajectory. (Project 1947)

11:04 p.m. local. While flying at 15,000', a USAF flight crew onboard a RB-50 with the 6091st Recon Squad, observed a brilliant red object with a blue-green tail flash by from right to left in a flat downward trajectory. It then arched down and exploded with a greenish white flash. Duration 2-seconds. Probable meteor. (Project 1947)
