The object maneuvered 50 to 70 miles SSE of Grand Bahama Auxillary AFB on heading of 145 degrees. The object completed two large circles at a speed of 200 to 300 knots, then completed a figure 8 maneuver. At approximately 4:18 a.m., a subsonic test missile from Patrick AFB, Florida, passed the object which converged on the missile on intercept course of 60 degrees. Images on radar screen merged. The missile disappeared from the scope on a SSE heading. The object disappeared gradually from the scope on a 60 degree heading. The UFO was observed distinctly. (Dan Wilson) |
