7:33 p.m. Northeast Airlines pilot LeBewohl sighted a round unknown object which was described as pink, then orange, then white in color and the apparent size of a quarter held at about arm's length. The object passed directly in front of the plane and after 7 minutes the object picked up speed and disappeared. The pilot was flying a DC-6 aircraft at 10,000 feet on a heading of 260 degrees. The total length of the observation was 11 minutes.
