Francis Ridge:
This series of visual sightings of silver specks in the sky triggered a scramble of two aircraft from Holloman AFB. Two range surveillance radars (one at Holloman, the other at Elephant Mountain near Orogrande, 35 miles south of Holloman) plotted four targets 10 Nautical miles ENE of Tularosa. Then a  plot of three targets were reported over Mescalero by both radars. Although intermittent the radar operators were convinced that "something" was there. The case was one investigated by the Condon Committee FI, M. Van Arsdale. This case was not listed among the original Blue Book Unknowns.
