Animal Reaction Feature:

Two dogs were observed to be fearful and to have hidden and remained silent as a large boomerang passed over the house at low altitude with a humming sound.

The sighting:

This sighting occurred in a city environment at 5 a.m. with the sky clear.   A man, 59, HS education and employment not indicated, his wife, 53, homemaker, and 3 children saw lights out their window.    They saw an airplane heading toward an airport and they also saw a second object that was a huge, glowing silver boomerang-shaped object.  It was estimated as 300 feet wide with about 6 “windows” on each side.  The report indicates a white light and the emission of a beam without further description.

The boomerang passed over the house at an estimated altitude of 500 feet or less,  moving very slowly.  Duration of the sighting estimated at 17 minutes as the object moved west to east.   At one point, one of the witnesses saw a small object that merged with the large one.

The source of this report is apparently an audio tape, drawing and report sent to MUFON.  No field investigator report was included.

No EM effects or physiological effects were reported.
