FBI Special Agent, D. M. Ladd ("Mickey" Ladd) (1928 - 1954) Ladd became a Special Agent in 1928 and retired in 1954. An apparent close friend of SA "Jelly" Bryce, Ladd served in later years as #3 Man in the Bureau and Assistant to the Director. Ladd was killed in an automobile accident in Florida after retirement and details of it and his background can be found at this link.
