RADCAT is a revitalized special project now being conducted jointly by NICAP & Project 1947 with the help and cooperation of the original compiler of RADCAT, Martin Shough, to create a comprehensive listing of radar cases with detailed documentation from all previous catalogues, including UFOCAT and original RADCAT.

Red Egg-Shaped Object Also Tracked On Radar / 5 Photos Taken
Dec. 19, 1957
Pepperrell AFB, Newfoundland, Canada

Brad Sparks:
Dec. 19, 1957; Pepperrell AFB, Newfoundland, Canada (BBU)
(McDonald list)

Dan Wilson:
Dec. 19, 1957; Pepperrell AFB, Newfoundland, Canada
7:02 p.m. local. One red egg-shaped object the size of a pea held at arm's length was seen visually and picked up on radar. The object was reportedly stationary but it did move. There were also 5 photos taken of the object but were undeveloped for possible instructions. The length of the observation was 8 minutes.

Fran Ridge:
The Project Record Card says "film taken but no object appeared on film." The actual report says film was "undeveloped for possible instructions" and later it was requested the film be submitted for evaluation. All five photos were of different exposures. As Dan reported, the object was said to have been stationary, but the report says object moved 1-1/2 miles NE at 2310Z and visual observer contacted radar.
