Sparks: May 24, 1952; Zuni, New Mexico (BBU) 1:27 a.m. Pilot of TWA airliner Brass saw 2 reddish torpedo-shaped objects appear in front of the aircraft. (Project 1947; FUFOR Index) Dan Wilson: May 24, 1952; Zuni, New Mexico (BBU) At 1:27 a.m. MST, the pilot, Glenn Bras, of a TWA airliner observed two torpedo shaped objects appear directly in front of the aircraft. The objects moved through 60 degrees arc at 45 degrees elevation. The aircraft was flying east at 15,000 feet at 7 miles SW of Zuni, New Mexico, at a speed of 280 mph. The objects were observed for 15 seconds. Fran Ridge: Some sightings seem trivial until you compare them with later years. But something was going on in 1952 as we all know, and there were four incidents in New Mexico within three days, two of which occurred the same day as this one (see NARA-PBB1-52 below).
