The 1999 UFO Chronology

Released, June 15, 2009

This is currently a six-page UFO chronology
. Our thanks for these chronologies must go to the A-Team, in partcular, Richard Hall, Dan Wilson (archive researcher), and Jean Waskiewicz (online NICAP DBase [NSID]. You will note the many foreign reports that we are now being able to access. Our special thanks to Dan Wilson for getting those to us. As more come in, this page will be updated. Previous chronologies (1947 to 1969) involved the expertise of two other team members; Rebecca Wise (Project Blue Book Archive) and Brad Sparks (Comprehensive Catalog of Project Blue Book Unknowns). Other entries are those filed with Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center in Seattle and researcher Michael Swords.

NOTE: Canadian cases. An asterisk (*) indicates cases with the highest reliability. Although UFO sightings were reported from almost all provinces in 1999, the most interesting cases were almost all in Western Canada. In previous years, Eastern Canada has had this privilege. It is not known why the shift to the west occurred this past year. Perhaps this is only a statistical trend and the situation will reverse again in 2000.

4:30 AM. A 17-year-old Fahmi Mohd was awaken by the sound of wind blowing. He noticed some bright lights outside his house. When he went out the back door he was surprised to see an object hovering low over some nearby bushes. It was about 20-30 feet away and gave off a very bright blue light. He could not tell its shape because of the light's brilliance. He watched in amazement, forgetting to wake his parents. Next he saw a small being, about half a meter tall, come out from the bottom of the hovering craft. Again, because of the bright blue light he could not distinguish many features, but he could see that it had drooping ears and a slightly pointed head with very long arms. Frightened, he went back inside his house. He looked out again to see the object shoot up at an angle and disappear into the sky. He did hear a mechanical sound right before the object shot up. Several small footprints were found at the site. (Source: Albert S. Rosales, Humanoid Contact Database 1999, case #3428, citing Ahmad Jamaludin, Malaysian Centre for UFO Studies).
