Capt. Perry R. Mansfield and Louis Feldvary, flying in an aircraft
observed what they thought was an unusual meteor traveling in a
southerly direction. The object was brighter than ever before and was
traveling in a horizontal direction and at no time did the object
appear to travel in a downward direction.
