REPORT OF TELEPHONE CONVERSATION
DATE  1 October 1951
 
A telephone call was received from Major Paul L. McCoy, Detachmment Commander, Mitchel Detachment   (Mitchell?)
 
Synopsis: Two pilots from Dover AFB, have reported that they saw a strange moving object over Sandy Hook, New Jersey. It was moving at an extremely rapid rate which was estimated in excess of 900 miles per hour.
 
Major Barron stated that  XXXXXXXX, a reporter for Newsday, a Hempstead newspaper, telephoned at various times on 10 September 1951, in an effort to obtain the above story.
