If you're interested in the Black Hawk case (as it's called in the BB 
files), it's of interest because F-84s didn't have air intercept radar, just 
gun sight ranging radar, so they couldn't actually track a bogie. 

I think the Black Hawk case is one of the most important of the 1950s, much 
more so that Mantell and the like, IMO.
