At 2135 hours local time, US Navy Ens. H. W. Taylor,
USN Ens. Paul G. Russell, Kathleen O' Donnel, civilian, and Miss
Farrell, civilian, observed a goldish-orange circular or
saucer-like object travelling due south in level flight and
vanishes from sight before reaching the horizon. Speed of the object
was estimated as "extremely fast." Length of observation was 10
seconds. Ens. Taylor stated that the object was definitely not meteor,
aircraft landing light, lighted balloon, etc.
