July 18, 1952; Lockbourne, Ohio (BBU 1476)

At 2210 EST, T/Sgt Thurman C. Mahone and A/3c Gene A. Jennings, observed an elliptical-shaped object that was larger in front, 30 degrees above the horizon. There was a pin-point  flame at the rear of the object and about every 3 seconds a burst of flame came out the rear. The object flew directly overhead and disappeared in one and a half minutes. The speed of the object was estimated at 900 MPH.

A/3c Gene A. Jennings stated that while he was on duty as Corporal of the Guard, Sgt. Mahone received a call from the local GCI station in reference to the presence of several "mysterious" unidentified aircraft in the area.
