At 6:35 p.m., a group of eight
witnesses including pilots and engineers
observed a large silvery
object moving rapidly at high altitude, then making a turn.
As they watched,
the object separated into seven discs which then
formed
into groups, circled,
and sped out of sight. It appeared as if a stack of
coins
had smoothly separated,the
pilot told investigators. (Air Force Intelligence report.)
