|The Mutual UFO Network has partnered with the MADAR Project, along with the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena, in a joint venture code-named Project MATCH in an effort to correlate alerts regarding detection of electromagnetic/geomagnetic anomalies with actual sighting reports, and ultimately provide an early warning system to state directors and other researchers. The Project is also seeking volunteers for additional MADAR sites. This report covers the current month and may be updated at any time, but usually finalized within 2 weeks of the last month final entry date.|

5:00 PM. Looking to the West at the colors of the sunset through binoculars, noticed a black shape moving in the sky at what was about 10,000 and 3-4 miles to the West (best estimate). The object was moving what looked like due north and witness followed it with the binoculars. "I know this sounds ridiculous but it looked like a trash bag...black and changing shape as it moved to the north. No garbage bag was at 10,000 feet blowing around." Witness saw what could have been the same object about 20 minutes later come from above and behind the clouds where it could be seen for a few seconds and then retreated. No lights, no color, no sound. (NUFORC)

January 6, 2019; Bristol County, whose major city is Bristol (right on the border with Tennessee).
Around 5:00-5:30 pm. Witness was walking his dogs outside. It was a beautiful sunny day and he noticed that two airplanes were spraying the skies above him. He went on and continued to walk the two dogs around the loop in the neighborhood and just happened to look upward as they were coming around the last corner of the loop, and there was an object hovering in the sky. It looked like an airplane just at a standstill, not moving any direction. He was a bit confused and stared at the object for what seemed like forever but was just a few seconds. After realizing he was looking at something that was not supposed to be, he ran with his dogs to his house, before entering his home he looked back at the object and it was still there. He got his camera, a Samsung ST66 and went to his front yard, which facing the object is NNE. The object appeared to be white in color, solid and reflected sunlight which made the object flicker a metallic color. The object never turned, zoomed, or anything. He observed the object on record for a little over 11 mins. There was an airplane in the sky just W of the object. The object stayed stationary as clouds passed over. The object disappeared a bit here and there until a clearing in the clouds would show it but it still was stationary. After 11 mins, a long line of clouds covered the object and he either lost it or it disappeared. There was nothing in the sky visible to him besides this object at NNE, a plane flying west of the object and some clouds. He went inside after no longer being able to see the object and uploaded the video. (MUFON CMS, 97533) [Photos aren’t very probative, but they do seem to show a dumbbell-shaped object. Nothing in the photos, unfortunately, to use as a frame of reference. Sunset was at 5:27 PM that day in Bristol. The are is about 380 miles from Alexandria, and the event times are about two hours apart].

5:58-6:00 PM., sunset at 5:47 PM. Witness was on his front porch smoking a cigarette, waiting for his daughter to return from a walk. As he bent his head down to light up and then looked up he saw the moon, and there it was, not a star, but it was an object coming down very very slowly. He dropped his cigarette on the ground, rushed into the house to grab his cell phone sitting on a little table by our front door, then rushed outside and started filming. It was not lit up by light's in any way. It shinned like when the sunlight reflected off foil, (probably reflecting sunlight) It would come down, then stop in the sky, come down more, then stop. (Pendulum motion?) It did this like four or five times, then came down very quickly and disappeared heading towards the lighthouse and ocean. He lost sight of it after it came down behind some tree's. "IFO (drone)" (MUFON CMS, 97785)

8:00 PM. Witness was driving down the road, heading north towards his home. The stretch of road was long and went straight for a few miles. He noticed blinking lights in the sky which he thought at first to be a light pole but it was actually moving slowly ahead of him. The object kept an exact path with the road and had two lights in the middle of it that blinked simultaneously. The lights were a very bright white. Witness knew that this was not an airplane since airplanes lights just do not blink that way. The object would go pitch black, then light up again in intervals of about 4-5 seconds. He continued to follow it down the road, but all of a sudden it flew way ahead of him. Case under investigation but this much has also been noted: UFO kept pace with or hovered in front of driver’s car for a time, while appearing 30 degrees above horizon. It was described as being triangular, from 30-100 feet in size (not sure what dimension this refers to), flashed sequentially, emitted no noise, was under 500 feet in altitude, and from 500-plus feet to a mile distant (not a CEI). At one point it was over power lines. There were two witnesses and sighting duration was five minutes. "Unknown UAV" (MUFON CMS, 97770)
The balance of the month's "hits" had no observable potential correlations. Note the addition of the new column (7) which identifies the sensor used at the current time. H was replaced by the Chinese "Q" sensor (which became a little problematic) and is now being phased out with the new "I" sensor board.
