June 2023, updated 18 Aug 2024 Eylar case This instruction sheet is specifically for training MADAR Level II Rapid Response Teams and Skywatch Teams, but is also an aid to MADAR Level I Ops. The Eyler case is just a suggestion. BASIC KIT The basic kit for skywatches turns out to be perfect for MADAR Level - II operators to use onsite as part of their Rapid Response System. The basic kit should include these items. * flashlight * note pads and pens * binoculars * cameras * video cameras If possible and the op or local group has local funding * geiger counter (GMC-300E, 500) [$110] * night vision camera (similar in price to Creative Pro XP) [$150] * special night vision for possible cloaked UAPs, the SyOnyx camera. * spectrum analyzer (EMF-390) [$100] or Trifield * strobelight. This is something we have used as a possible "lure" during skywatches. For specific information series papers on the last 5 listed items, refer to MADAR 101 00-60 series. SKYWATCHES Skywatches are usually conducted near a MADAR site. If within 30 miles of someone's MADAR site, the SKYWATCH supervisor should contact the op to make sure they are online and plan to be online before the SKYWATCH. In fact, the op may wish to participate in some way and can be in contact via cell phone, help with Flight Radar 24, etc. In any case, if the MADAR site is Level-II and DAS equipped, it should be geiger counter equipped as well. Find out from the op if this is so. The magnetometer on the site will cover or back up data for a SKYWATCH EMF-390. Anyone interested in direct participation in the MADAR Project, or wishes to donate to the effort, is certainly welcome. Fran Ridge MADAR Operations Director skyking42@gmx.com madar.site/ |
