April 14, 1952, Memphis, Tennessee (BBU 1112)
Two U.S. Navy pilots, Lt.(jg)
Blacky and Lt.(jg) Robert O,Neil, while flying over the
Naval Air Station at Memphis, observed one inverted bowl-shaped object
approximately 3 foot long and 1 foot high flying at a rapid pace at
2000 feet altitude. The object had a red glowing exhaust and
came within 100 yards of the aircraft.Time of the sighting was
1834 CST and lasted 45 to 60 seconds.
