UFO Stops Train
Mt. Vernon, Indiana
November 20, 1973
Francis Ridge:
It had been six years since the last UFO flap (1967), and thirteen
since I had gotten officially into the "UFO business" in 1960. This
incident
made quite an impression on me for several reasons. Fifteen years
earlier
(October 3, 1958), in Central Indiana, the famous Monon R.R. UFO
incident
had occurred near Wasco.
I had started the MADAR Project (UFO Detection) in 1970 and this new
incident
was my first good E-M case. The MADAR equipment had been triggered on
November
1st. Although there was no reported (I stress reported) UFO
event at the time, the detected anomalistic event during the peak of
the
huge sighting wave of 1973 and the train case twenty days later, fell
right
in the peak of the huge 1973 sighting wave reported all over the
country.
There were three witnesses, but only one would fill out a report.
