Hamilton AFB is located at Novato, California.
At 1230 PST, Major Lee W. Wright and M/Sgt Cayus P. Peterson, 78th Fighter Wing, Hamilton AFB, Novato, Calif., were standing in the yard of Peterson's residence when they observed a white round solid disc-shaped object that was approximately 50 feet in diameter. The object was traveling on a heading of 270 degrees at approximately 500 mph at an altitude of <>approximately 5000 feet. There was no sound or exhaust.
