Mr. Harley C. Marshall was the Manger of Public Relations at Palomar Observatory. He reported the sighting of 16 to 18 unusual objects on October 14, 1949, at about 1315, near the observatory and high radiation reading on a recording geiger counter at Palomar at the same time the objects were sighted.
Mr. B. B. Traxler, assistant superintendent (Electrical) for the observatory, could offer no explanation for the action of the geiger counter.
