<>Nov. 24, 1951; Selfridge AFB, MI, UFO and Radar Outage  On November 24, 1951, at 2320Z to 2325Z, two men at Selfridge AFB, Michigan sighted a large oblong and brilliantly lighted object moving at a rapid rate of speed with no apparent audible sound. Object was reported as having a red exhaust.
 
On November 24, 1951, at 2320Z, for an unexplained reason, Selfridge AFB radar ceased operation.
