The UFO was maintained on MB-9 scope for approximately one hour at ranges of 8,000 to 15,000 yards. (7)
  
Pilot of the F-89J ( "BOARDPIPE 27") reported visual contact with the object.

FPS-20 GCI Radar (13)

THE MOVEMENTS AND IDENTIFICATION CENTER reported no aircraft in the area at that time. (13)
 
MG-12 Fire Control System on the F-89J had radar contact until 0319Z (13)
 
There was concern about radar reflection from jet engines and the properties of radar absorbing materials in connection with this unidentified object. 
 
The UFO demonstrated high performance and was painted by a high frequency radar.(15)
 
In view of the fact that this sighting suggests a possibility of a different type of threat to the Continental United States, request this Headquarters,
ATTN:    ADODI, be advised of your final analysis regarding this sighting. (17) 
 
There seems to be a definite correlation between visual and radar observations, which discounts the idea of false targets. (20)
