Fran Ridge:
March 24, 1955; Ryukyu Islands, Japan (BBU)
2:30 PM local. 14:30 GMT. A pilot was giving flying lessons to a student pilot over Ryukyu Islands. A glowing "hat-shaped" object with three "windows" in the "crown", came into view to his left. This extraordinary object changed color from white to orange, as it flew around the Beechcraft plane, "looking it over". None of the instruments worked and the engine sputtered. In a panic, the instructor pilot went into a dive to lose the unwelcome aerial companion, but the UFO easily stayed with the single engine aircraft. Two jets were sent from Kadena AFB.
