NICAP UAP CHRONOLOGY 2025 (MADAR ONLY)

Nineteen episodes of sighting correlations!

NUFORC sightings = solid line
MADAR correlations = dotted line

Updated: 12/29/2025
My interpretation with one month left to process as of this date, is, a) we had a great and successful year up to July, correlations basically matching NUFORC reports. b) From late September on no MADAR correlations and the quality of the NUFORC cases was very poor, although the numbers were high.

January 9, 2025; Parkersburg, West Virginia
NUFORC 186666. Occurred: 2025-01-09 22:15 Local, Reported: 2025-01-09 21:44 Pacific, Duration: 5 seconds, No of observers: 1, Shape: Cube, Color: Silver/metal, Estimated Size: 5 feet, Viewed From: Land, Direction from Viewer: South, Angle of Elevation: 83, Closest Distance: 300 feet, Estimated Speed: 35 mph, Characteristics: Aura or haze around object. Three objects low to ground. At 8:15 pm EST the witness was standing outside smoking a cigarette while looking up at the sky. Two objects that were cube shaped but seemed to have rotating pieces off of the sides flew over his backyard. Right behind the two objects came a 3rd that seemed like it was slower than the other two but still very fast. He was not sure how fast they were going but it would have been about the same speed as a bird. They all three disappeared over his neighbor's house. The objects could not have been more than 50 feet higher than his two-story home. They looked like they were metal but had a weird reflective iridescent color to them with a low light haze surrounding the objects. There was no noise emitting from the objects.

January 13, 2025; Rocklin, California
On that Sunday afternoon, at around 3:55 pm Pacific Standard Time, the MADAR site coordinator for Node 245 had gone outside to take care of a chore. Operating at Level-II Dev R admits her mind was on her MADAR unit so what happened next was quite shocking. She just happened to look up and saw a white cylindrical object in the north-northwest high in the sky about 60 degrees AGL. It looked like a “tic-tac”, apparently had no wings, no windows, and had no observable insignia. She had no idea how far away it had been or how fast it was moving, but it was headed east. She did note that it was apparently the size of an aspiran at arm's length. If she had had more time and the object had been closer there would have been no controversy, so she simply had to brush it off as an airplane. She hadn't recalled hearing any noise. And, unfortunately, she didn't have her cell phone with her. Even if she had, there wasn't enough time to get a photo of the object, the thing was only visible about 5 seconds. She went back inside. Once inside, her cohort told her that the MADAR unit had triggered.

January 17, 2025; Gresham (not Conway as reported), South Carolina
The male witness said he was walking down the street around 4 AM with headphones on listening to music. It was very windy. He said he felt a presence, didn’t know why, looked up and slightly above a house on right side and then close to the ground about 5-6 feet from him, about 14 feet off of the ground, the size of a SUV, he reported what looked like a large egg. It was a silver, almost translucent, light inside radiating like a slow heart beat. The light was dim with no lights on the outside. He was very confident about something being inside it and not otherwise controlled, felt a presence that he couldn’t explain. Our investigation showed that there was a family member’s house actually across the street from the sighting. He panicked in shock, pulled his phone out like to take a photo, but it died. He ran, scared, he looked back and it was gone, he said very fast despite it being very windy. There was no sound, he felt like it was looking for something, couldn’t explain, felt some intelligence inside it. The episode lasted 6-7 minutes. No one else was around at that time in the morning. There were no environmental sounds like dogs etc. This was the individual’s first experience of any type.Investigator checked Wunderground for both January 16 and January 17 and the winds at 4:00 AM were CALM. Many sightings involve unusual weather patterns not otherwise documented, so whether this was part of the effect with the sighting, that is the only thing she could come up with. Sky object documentation. Tracer dot 503 showed MADAR site 251 at Sumter, South Carolina, 58 miles to the west of Gresham. Previously the narrative had the sighting at Conway which was 20 miles further, so this brings the incident a lot closer to the MADAR site. Checking the data there was no code blue but the magnetometer reading showed some interesting data. It comes as no surprise that the spike occurred one minute before, at 09:03 UTC, since time pieces can vary that much, but it is unmistakable that the spike was 10.88 milligaus, preceded by 4.88 and lasted only a minute, ending with a 3.38 milligaus. But there was another spike eight minutes later of 11.62 and the witness' corrected duration puts the departure at 4:10-4:11 EST which is 09:12 UTC. The anomaly at 09:04 UTC had an MSV of 4 degrees on the compass, plus the accelerometer showed a slight variation at the exact time of the incident.

February 20, 2025; Johnson City, Illinois
NUFORC UFO Sighting 187843, Occurred: 2025-02-20 19:01 Local, Reported: 2025-02-20 17:47 Pacific, Duration: 3 minutes, No of observers: 2, Above the Lake at Arrowhead Campground, Shape: Disk, Color: Metallic, Estimated Size: 20 feet in diameter, Viewed From: Land, Direction from Viewer: It was towards the middle of the lake above approximately 500 feet. Angle of Elevation: 75, Closest Distance: 1000 feet or so, Estimated Speed: Unknown, very fast, Characteristics: Lights on object, Aura or haze around object. A metallic disc was hovering above the lake - Me and my wife were sitting by the parking lot near the cemetery when all of the sudden we saw a big metallic disc looking object hovering probably 500 feet above the lake. The bottom of it was glowing, ember colored. My wife and I were frozen in awe. It stood still hovering for almost 3 minutes then shot up into the sky in an instant. It was almost 20 feet in diameter. It had almost a hypnotizing effect on us and felt like it felt our presence, as we were unable to reach for our phones. It was a surreal experience and I am now a believer. [MADAR at Norris City, IL had spikes]

February 23, 2025; Edmond, Oklahoma
5:40 AM CST. Witness took her daughter to work that morning at a local coffee shop off of Pennsylvania - a street, that opens early, something she does about once a month. She said her smart phone was connected to her vehicle’s Bluetooth and she took video as driving and then as parked afterward nearby. She said there were stars, and the stars seemed brighter and more colorful lately for some reason. She thought this object was a star until it started moving. It made no sounds at all. She did not think it was a plane or helicopter, and really doesn’t think it is a drone, but she cannot guarantee that. She did look on Flight Radar24 to see if it could be a plane and none were listed. She took about 1 min. 35 seconds of video but started to feel afraid as if the object was evaluating or watching her. She said she knew that could sound crazy or paranoid, but it was how she felt so she stopped because she felt afraid. This appears to be an unknown object.

March 12, 2025; Walnut Ridge, Arizona
At 10:19 PM CDT. (0319 GMT), witness observed a ball or sphere about twice the size of Venus or Jupiter, form as he was actively watching the skies to the NW of Walnut Ridge. Once formed, the sphere trekked horizontally slowly as 3 other smaller star-like lights dropped down from it. These lights were in a cluster, and went outward in a triangle formation. They all stopped moving at the same time, forming a triangle, and then all faded out. This occurred within 30 seconds.  For 20 or so minutes afterward, he observed random lights across the sky to the NW of Walnut Ridge, at times, but his view was obstructed by pine trees.  Since the witness of this incident is also the operator of node 259 at Walnut Ridge, a MADAR report was filed and mailed to the Operations Center.

March 16, 2025; East of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
2:20 AM CDT. Witness reported a light in the sky moving back and forth and finally dropping down to land. Witness was headed home from work when he noticed the bright white light in the sky moving side to side. He checked his flight radar app and the SkyView light to make sure it wasn’t a plane or a star. As he recorded one of the videos a street light can be seen going out right as the object passes by it. Size and speed unknown. There’s a video from Edmond, OK posted one month prior to this with the same or similar object being seen. Curious to what this could be as the same thing was recorded recently.*Videos of craft. 10 minutes. (NUFORC UFO Sighting 188352) [See earlier report at Edmond on 2/23/2025].
A tracer dot was generated from the latlong for Oklahoma City and it was obvious that it really wasn't needed. Oklahoma City has a MADAR site, site 242. Converting CDT to UTC it was determined that it was reported to be observed at 07:20 UTC and within one minute there WAS a spike in the magnetometer of 8.25 milligaus. This was the highest reading on the page except for about 8 minutes later where there was another identicle spike, suggesting the object might have exited airspace. In both cases there was MSV (multi-sensor verification) with the onboard compass of 3 or more degrees. Both times the accelerometer had slight spikes as well. Site 242 was not geiger-equipped.

March 18, 2025; Loudon, New Hampshire
11:15 AM local EDT. Duration: 1 - 2 minutes,  Estimated Size: couldn't tell, Viewed From: Land, Direction from Viewer: Heading West, Angle of Elevation: 44, Closest Distance: hundred plus feet, Estimated Speed: approx. 5 MPH.
Witness was driving west on School St. around the Elementary School when he noticed a solid white shape moving at a steady regular pace just above the treeline south to north.. Object was shaped like a soft, sideways Chevron. The sky was cloudy grey/white but this stood out because of its shape and color. No flapping was observed so it wasn't a bird, no skeletal structure so it was not a drone. Too low to be a plane and not at all a helicopter (no sound, no wiry look to it). It just moved at a steady pace over the treeline - South to North. Witness followed it with his eyes until he reached the stop sign, then lost sight of it. It stuck out to him because of its color, shape, movement and position over the trees. Not at all normal or usual for the area. NUFORC UFO Sighting 188396. Fifty miles to the southwest is MADAR site 27 at Keene, New Hampshire. local time of 11:15 AM EDT converts to 15:15 UTC. The spreadsheet for node 27 shows a couple of spikes in the magnetometer, on column 5. The first spike occurred at 15:14, which is within a minute of the reported sighting and time pieces can be a minute off. It was 6.75 milligaus. A larger spike occurred shortly after at 15:17 with the highest reading on the page or 8.25 milligaus. There was no MSV (multi-sensor verification): no compass deviations (col 4) and the site was not geiger counter equipped (col. 8). The MADAR data was definitely more impressive than the sighting, but the case is under investigation.

March 25, 2025; Mesa, Arizona
On March 31st, a MADAR site operator at Mesa was going over footage from his Allsky camera and came across a frame that got his attention. In this particular frame he noticed an object on the right that was obviously a bird, but the identity of the two other objects on the upper left could not be determined. The camera takes pictures every eight seconds. The objects were not in the frames before or after the one in question. The images are time-dated so the time of the event was 03/26/2025 01:25.30 UTC. Mesa is on MST or Mountain Standard Time so the actual date of the sighting was 3/25/2025, and the CUT was 3/26/2025. There were two unidentifiable objects in that frame, two very-interesting objects. It may not be possible to gain much from an analysis of these targets, but an attempt will be made. The site operator noted that there was no code blue alert on his MADAR unit, meaning DAS alarm did not sound the usual one-minute plus alarm. But when he checked the MADAR unit's spreadsheet he noticed a spike in the EMF.

April 9, 2025; Indianapolis, Indiana
The MADAR operator of site 310 has a couple of RLC-811WA Reolink skycams recording the skies 24/7. He had had an alert on 4/9 at 7:52 am. EDT. Originally this alert had been written off as an "uncorrelated target". A couple of days later he was routinely going over the camera data and discovered on some of the frames that a couple of objects had flown through his cameras' field of view at the same time. He said that he thought that they may have been birds but they didn't move like birds and he had never found birds on the recordings before so he had no reference to judge that. [These north camera objects look like "cubes" in my opinion. - Ridge] The east camera images were birds, however the north camera after analysis shows a more rectangular object and is listed as an unknown.

April 21, 2025; Indianapolis, Indiana
MADAR site 310 operator Robert B sent MADAR Operations Center at Newburgh (IN) a message reporting that
he had had three alerts this day. Normally he doesn't have his Reolink cameras set to record during daylight, but
as soon as his MADAR alert sounded he viewed the camera in real time. On the first alert he noticed a brief
millisecond black triangle image which he thought could have been an anomaly with the camera. On the second
alert he didn’t notice anything. On the third alert he went into manual override recorded and captured the event. At
first he noticed two orb shaped lights next to a line of clouds that moved different than the large cloud mass and
then fade or just disappeared. He watched the video a few times and noticed that there was also a black trianglelike object that appeared in the large cloud. He attached the MADARr DATA report, video, and a screenshot of the
black object to MOC. He wasn't sure if this was something, or not. The screenshot was taken at 7:27 PM EDT.II. MADAR DATA: It was getting late so we had to wait until the next day to check the data. The first thing we did was run a MADAR
DAILY ALERT for the previous day. April 21, 2025 showed that there had been 26 alertStarts listed. Four of the
alerts were listed for Indianapolis, all of them site 310. Beginning at 15:55 UTC, then 20:17, 20:38, and 22:46.
Converted to local EDT that was 11:55 AM, 16:17 or 4:17 PM, 16:38 or 4:38 PM, and finally 18:46 or 6:46 PM. The last alert at 6:46 PM coincided with the screenshot of 6:47 PM which shows what appears to be a black triangle in
the clouds. The alertStart magnetometer spike was 37.88 milligaus, just over the 35 mg threshold for site 310. If it
had been set at 40 like many of our nodes, this would not have been a code blue. The disturbance in the E-M field
lasted over one minute two seconds even though the alertEnd was technically at 11:53 UTC when the mag
reading dropped uinder threshold which was 35. The site was geiger-equipped and the spreadsheet shows the
cpm (counts per minute) actually dropped to 12 cpm during the alertStart, but the readings never reached the
significant level which is 2.5 times normal background.

On the afternoon of May 17, 2025, at around 2:20 PM local time, the witness was at home in Nashville, Tennessee, observing a passenger jet through binoculars from the backyard. As the witness followed the jet across the sky, a spherical object unexpectedly drifted into the field of view from the left, catching the observer completely off guard. The object appeared to be a metallic silver sphere, roughly 40 feet in diameter. It had an orange-colored light near its midsection and what looked like an indented band running through its middle. Suspended in the eastern sky at about a 75-degree angle of elevation, it seemed to hover in place with only a slight, unsteady wobble. Compared to the passenger jet, this sphere was noticeably lower in altitude — estimated to be hovering around 1,000 feet up and perhaps a thousand feet or more from the witness' position on the ground. Object was observed closely for about 30 seconds, but eventually was lost to sight of it behind a tree. The observer moved to a different vantage point to try to spot it again, but it had vanished. There were aircraft in the vicinity, but none appeared to interact with the object. A drawing of what was seen was attached to the report to NUFORC to better illustrate its appearance. [NUFORC 189703] The nearest MADAR site to the sighting was node 33 at Thompson Station, Tennessee, 30 miles south of Nashville. Converting the local time of 2:20 pm to MADAR's UTC I checked the spreadsheet and was surprised to find a magnetometer spike of 8.62 milligause right at 19:20:09 . The compass had deviated 2 degrees, one degree under the MSV [multi-sensor verification] we normally prefer. Node 33 was not geiger-counter equipped. The threshold of the site was set at 48, a little high for the current software, so there was no code blue, but the spike in column 5 was significant and the sighting was equally interesting.

August 23, 2025; Mesa, Arizona
When reviewing AllSky Camera footage, operator observed a white disk object enter the frame from the South. It remains within the frames of the camera for 1 minute, then exits to the North/Northwest. During this time, his MADAR unit skipped 1 minute of data. Camera Details: ZWO ASI715MC 2.1mm 150-degree lens.
The NUFORC report lists the event as July 22; however, both the all-sky camera and the coincident MADAR data are recorded in UTC and show the event occurring on July 23, 2024, from 18:12:03 to 18:13:07 UTC, corresponding to 11:12–11:13 AM MST in Mesa, Arizona. The July 22 date appears to be a reporting error due to incorrect UTC-to-local conversion.

June 11, 2025; Branford, Connecticut
At 8:47 PM a couple at Branford reported a close encounter with a disc about the size of two semis put together side-by-side for about 20 seconds as they exited a train overpass. Node 106 at Newington, CT, 20 miles NW had an anomaly on its magnetometer for about a minute about 5 minutes later. At the same time its geiger counter experienced a background radiation reading that lasted twice as long, under two minutes. Another site, 139 at Walligford, 21 miles south had a mag spike at 00:53:55 UTC which is 8:53 pm (6 mins after the sighting). This was our first radiation correlation since we went GC operational early this year. Not only that but both sites had compass variations. The odds against three sensors showing significant data during a good close encounter is astronomical.

July 9, 2025; Mogadore, Ohio
At approximately 8:30 PM local time EDT on July 9, 2025, a lone witness traveling along Route 532 in Tallmadge, Ohio, reportedly observed a massive, unidentified flying object in the sky, east of Mogadore. The object appeared circular in shape and was described as enormous—possibly up to a mile wide—with what looked like multiple levels or tiers. Initially, the object was seen stationary in a clear blue sky, high above the treetops. The witness noted that it seemed to just "hang there," unmoving and silent. Upon beginning to photograph the object, it slowly began to move, eventually descending to tree level, where it once again came to a stop. The witness then pulled over, but by that time the object had shifted deeper into the tree line, making it more difficult to view in detail. Despite visibility being partially obstructed by trees, the witness described the object as having structural features, including what might have been windows or portals. The sighting lasted approximately five minutes before the object was lost from view. The witness later confirmed through online sources that no blimps were operating in the area at the time. The experience left a strong impression, described as unsettling and strange, especially since it was the witness's first time encountering anything of the sort. Attempts to discuss the event on social media met with ridicule, which the witness found disheartening given the seriousness and clarity of what they saw. [By "they" it implies more than one witness, and the name and number given by nuforc was of a male, but the social media report gave a woman's name]. The report was filed with NUFORC the following day.  [190903] An AI search gave the nearest MADAR site as site 55 at Windham, Ohio, 25 miles NE of the sighting area. The time zone was 7/9/2025 20:30 or 8:30 PM EDT so the UTC conversion was actually the next day, 7/10 at 00:30 UTC. Immediately it was noticed that there was a large spike in the magnetometer reading within the minute, of 24.75 milligaus, the highest reading on the page. Within the 5 minute observation period the onboard compass had varied  from 176 degrees to 172 degrees, exceeding the requirement for MSV, multi-sensor verification. Interesting that the site threshold was set at 50 milligaus which made it impossible to have a code blue, but the data was still very valuable. The TH would have had to be as low as 24 to trigger, and few nodes are set that low, Had the site been geiger-equipped it might have been even more successful. If that's not good enough to confirm a UAP in the regional airspace, another site 4 miles further NE at Garrettsville had not been checked due to a mapping issue. When MADAR site 64 was checked for SBC (sub-blue correlation) it was discovered that there had been a noticeable spike of 10.12 milligaus at the exact time of the reported sighting and the compass reacted almost 12 degrees in 5 minutes. The TH was 35 and the site was also not geiger-equipped.

July 22, 2025, Buffalo, New York
At approximately 6:46 PM local time, two adult witnesses traveling south on Interstate 90 near Buffalo, New York, observed an unusual aerial object toward the south in the vicinity of the Galleria Mall. The object appeared to be a white, cylindrical “tic tac”-shaped craft, estimated to be around 40 feet in size and positioned at an angle of about 45 degrees elevation, approximately 30,000 feet away. The witnesses noted a clear, spherical aura or haze surrounding the object. Over the course of about two minutes, the object vanished and reappeared several times, each time as an intense, pinpoint flash of light high in the sky. No sound was reported, and the object’s speed could not be determined. Both witnesses described the event as clear and distinct, with the object maintaining its position in the southern sky before disappearing completely. (NUFORC 191178). A case of this type would be interesting in itself, but we found a MADAR site located in Buffalo, site 267 that showed some interesting magnetometer spikes. Another site also located in Buffalo, site 163, failed to show any magnetometer spikes but apparently was not located in a good E-M free area because the onboard compass was too erratic. If there had been some mag spikes at the same time at site 163 this would have been scientifically good news. Neither site had geiger counters. Site 267 showed an early mag spike at 22:41:48 UTC or 6:42 PM EDT of 11.25 milligaus. Six minutes later there was the spike 22:47:48 UTC or 6:48 PM, which was two minutes after the reported event took place. Note that the witnesses gave a specific time of 6:46 PM. There was MSV or multisensor verification with this node with the compass changing from 34 degrees to 37 degrees in 8 minutes. The threshold for this node was set at 40 milligaus, which is a reasonable TH with the current software but the disturbance was way below this, therefore there was no code blue. Had the UAP performed any dynamic maneuvers this could have very well triggered the MADAR, but this sub code blue (SCB) is worth documenting.

July 24, 2025, Jonesborough, Tennessee
Aat approximately 11:15 PM local time, a resident of Jonesborough reported observing a large unidentified aerial object. The witness was standing in their backyard when they noticed a bright star-like light low in the eastern sky. A smaller blinking light was visible on the north side of the bright object. The light then moved rapidly toward the southeast and came to a stop, hovering in the sky. At that point, the main bright light went out, leaving four blinking lights that remained visible. The object then began moving westward while descending. It passed directly over the witness’s house at an estimated altitude of about 200 feet, allowing for a clear view of the underside. The witness described the object as extremely large — roughly 125 feet long and 80 feet wide — easily spanning their home, a neighboring house, and both yards. The craft was cross-shaped with slightly rounded edges and emitted only a faint, low hum. There was no noticeable air movement or downdraft beneath it. A soft gray fog-like aura surrounded the object. Looking up from the ground, the witness saw that the underside of the craft was made up of layered gray sections that looked like rows of circuit boards. The center section was a large rectangle, with two rectangular extensions to either side, forming the cross shape. Crescent-shaped foggy forms were also visible extending inward from both the top-left and top-right portions. Only the bottom of the craft was seen; the top and sides were not visible from the observer’s position. The object hovered over the witness for about a minute, remaining silent except for the low hum, and then began moving westward and upward at the same time. It accelerated very rapidly and disappeared into the western sky. Total time in view was 2-3 minutes. The witness stressed the immense size of the object and its near-silent operation. The night was clear, and visibility was good. No other witnesses or physical evidence have been reported. This case represents a close-range observation of a large, structured, cross-shaped object exhibiting hovering capability and rapid acceleration, with lighting behavior inconsistent with conventional aircraft. The object remains unidentified.

September 21, 2025; Brandon, Florida
A resident of Brandon experienced a close-range encounter with an unidentified aerial object. The witness, who resides on the third floor of an apartment complex approximately 1.5 miles from both the University of South Florida and Advent Hospital, stepped out onto her balcony around 11:20 PM for a moment of quiet reflection. What she saw next would leave her shaken and searching for answers. Hovering approximately 500 feet above the ground—estimated to be about 1,000 feet above her vantage point—was a dark, disk-shaped craft. The object appeared solid and seamless, with no visible dome or protrusions. Along its underside, the witness counted 13 distinct lights. The craft glided silently across the sky, passing unusually close to her position. Entranced, she stared at the object for nearly two minutes, captivated by its presence and motion. Realizing the significance of what she was witnessing, the woman cautiously backed into her apartment to retrieve her phone, determined not to lose sight of the craft. As she began filming, the object abruptly dissipated in front of her eyes. A few flashes followed in the same region of the sky, prompting her to continue recording in hopes of capturing further evidence. When the object failed to reappear, she stopped filming and immediately called a friend. It was during this call that she was introduced to MUFON—the Mutual UFO Network—for the first time. Still visibly shaken during the interview conducted the following day, the witness described her emotional state as fearful and overwhelmed. She expressed hope that others may have seen the same phenomenon and would come forward. At the investigator’s request, she provided an AI-generated rendering of the craft. At the time of the sighting, air traffic in the area included a Frontier Airlines flight to the East of her and a helicopter departing from Advent Hospital. No rocket launches or satellite passes were recorded during the window of the event. The object was estimated to be approximately half a mile from the witness’s apartment, positioned midway between USF and Advent Hospital. The investigator’s MADAR site 270 registered anomalous spikes in magnetic gradient amplitude (MGA) on the same night. Exactly one hour after the sighting, the unit recorded a spike of 33—well above the typical baseline of 6 to 7. Eight hours later, another spike of 27 was observed. These readings suggest possible electromagnetic disturbances coinciding with the event. While speculative, the investigator thinks that the object may have cloaked itself following visual dissipation, triggering the MADAR anomalies as it exited the area.
