FORM 112 - MADAR SIGHTING
INFORMATION REPORT
OREFIELD, PENNSYLVANIA - DECEMBER 10, 2022
I. DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT
December 10, 2022; Orefield, Pennsylvania
At 6:25 AM Eastern Time on the morning of Saturday, December 10,
2022, the witness reportedly sighted a massive, obsidian-coloured,
cigar shaped object on the way home from work on the night shift.
According to the witness he was wide awake, fully sober, fully
alert, and still focused on the previous evening's shift at work.
This object was massive, appeared to be about 2000 meters long and
150 meters wide, headed east at 1500 km/hour, around 35 km altitude.
The object obscured much of the sky and appeared to be enveloped in
a long, black, oily bubble. He claims he had a sense of anxiety
observing this phenomena. 5 -secs. (nuforc)
II. MADAR DATA
Orefield is 6.4 miles west of MADAR site 177. There were no
code blues for that node in December until the 27th. However, the
sighting was listed as having occurred at 6:25 am, which converted
to MADAR time is 11:25 hours. That's the pesky time of what we
think/thought was a systemic error which occurs a half dozen times a
week among our 160+ nodes. But once before, we had a similar
situation that turned out to be our best case yet involving an
unmistakable close encounter MADAR correlation at Indianapolis on
September 6, 2021. The point is, at the moment of the Orefield
sighting the MADAR site was registering some interesting readings at
the non-alert 1 minute rate from the magnetometer from 1.5 to 3.0 to
2.25, then at 11:27:18, 7.5 milligaus. But even more
interesting, and the equivalent of a multi-sensor verification, the
onboard compass varied from 272.91 degrees to 277.72 over that 2
minute + period. Last but certainly not least the accelerometer
reading was at the highest point at the moment the object was first
spotted.
III. STATUS OF INVESTIGATION

04/05/2023 - after continued processing, case turned over to Robert
Speering for investigation.
07/06/2023 - investigation completed with disposition of unknown,

IV. CONCLUSIONS
Witness had promised a sketch of the long black cigar but never was
able to provide it and eventually broke off correspondence with the
FI. But something was going on because other FI's in PA had a
similar case on the same date with a rectangle 40 miles away at
Warminster, CMS 127791. Some comments I think can be safely made.
This is an unusual event in that most MADAR anomalies last about 4-9
seconds, and the sightings much longer. The April 23, 2020,
Millerton, PA close encounter lasted about ten minutes. This could
be expected since the Millerton case involved 2, 25-30' spheres
while this latest event involved a massive cigar-shaped
object. The Orefield object was observed for only about 5 seconds,
but the affect on the magnetometer could have been similar to
rapidly picking up and dropping a hot potato without getting burned.
The massive size of the object would possibly have had a different
affect on the onboard compass.
