FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DECEMBER 2024
ISSUE
NEWEST MADAR SITES
ALABAMA - Mobile has a new MADAR site 356 operated by Henry
Allen.
NEW YORK - as mentioned last month has two more potential
sites. Tom Nesser had purchased two more dataProbes which had
not been placed but one has been allocated to Denise Mantione
at Pittsford, site 351.
NORTH CAROLINA - Lynda Thompson has moved to High Point. Her
original site was 321 at Henrico, Virginia.
PENNSYLVANIA - Wayne Gondal is the operator of site 354 at
Manheim.
TENNESSEE - Gordon Merrill moved from Columbus, Indiana node
205 to Chattanooga. Tennessee node 357.
The MADAR Network continues to
grow in the United States, and 11 countries
including Australia, Canada, France,
Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands,
Philippines, Switzerland, the United Kingdom
and Norway. The MADAR Project has 231 sites
in the system, with 190 running and 47 in
various stages. Presently, 83 (44%) are
DAS-equipped, which means the site teams can
be alerted by an alarm system, proceed out
and gather more data with selected
equipment. Very soon anyone with a GMC-500
geiger counter will be able to plug this
device into their MADAR and have readings
logged right on their spreadsheets! And more
surprises are in the works. The project
has 278
members. 47 are run by MUFON members.
OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS
As usual we go over the MADAR101 Series through the year, updating
as we go, to educate the newcomers and refresh the memories of the
older team members. While we are doing this I will be re-doing them
in the new Open Office pdf format. You can see this new format in
the paper I recently did on "00-01-Your Baseline" below.
You'll also be seeing more Open Office pdf work on papers suitable
for PR use regarding code blues and SCR cases. We already
have a good start with three papers
PAYSON,
ILLINOIS CODE BLUE
CLARKSBURG,
WEST VIRGINIA SCR CASE
DAVIS,
CALIFORNIA SCR CASE
Four MADA101 papers have already been updated as you can tell
below.
