|
RADCAT is a revitalized special
project now being conducted
jointly by NICAP &
Project 1947 with the help and
cooperation of the original compiler of RADCAT, Martin Shough, to create a comprehensive listing
of radar cases with detailed
documentation from all
previous catalogues, including
UFOCAT and original
RADCAT. |
Richard Hall: Features: Aerial encounter, radar-visual, cat-and-mouse pursuit. An F-61 "Black Widow" night fighter crew on patrol over Japan picked up a UFO target on radar moving at about 200 m.p.h. The crew made six attempts to close in on the object, and each time it rapidly accelerated to about 1,200 m.p.h. leaving the interceptor behind. Then it would slow down again until the interceptor began closing in once more. On one pass the crew saw the silhouette of an object shaped like a "rifle bullet and apparently 20-30 feet long. Francis Ridge: This original report includes the Hynek and McDonald versions, but more recently added reports (May 2005) include the report and analysis by NARCAP and the posting of official documents from the BB Microfilms. This case was listed among the original BB "Unknowns" and is carried in the Comprehensive Catalog of Project Blue Book Unknowns by Brad Sparks: Oct. 15, 1948. Fukuoka,
Japan.
