Ridge: Aug. 23, 1967; Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada 9:45 p.m. EDT (8:45 p.m. EDT). A commercial pilot saw a series of white lights that flashed on and off at 1-2 second intervals. Ground radar showed a target at the approximate location of the lights, and said that the object was in the sky and lower than 50,000 feet. The pilot lost sight of the lights after about a minute, but Halifax radar tracked the objects as they moved from 36 to 16 miles from the aircraft and the blips were still on radar after the aircraft continued on its way.
